Dog training is a great time in a dog’s life. They learn all about how they are expected to behave, and how to please their owner. Dogs are such loving and loyal creatures, you could be mistaken for believing that forcing a dog to behave in a certain way is cruel.

In fact, you’d be correct. Dog training is not about force, and should be about encouragement. Dogs can learn how to behave without any dangerous practices such as striking or choking, and many owners no longer find is acceptable to use dog training collars.

The safety of our canine friends should be paramount in all training exercises, just like you teach a toddler to use the toilet with patience, the same respect should be gifted to your dog. Quite simply, vicious behaviour by an owner approaching dog training is not an effective method, nor is it acceptable.
