My pug has had severe hip dysplaysia (excuse spelling). Had to have surgery for this. He has breathing issues as well,Needs nose drops. Also gets ear infections bad, Have ear meds from vet. And their eyes are prone to injury(because they are bug-eyed) Mine got a scratch on his eye and had to get special cream for it, and was still left w/ scar tissue. They can be high maitnence as far as health issues go, but are wonderful dogs, and mine has been worth it all
breathing problems (due to squishy face) especially in hot smoggy weather. when runnung outside its best to give them a break every now and then good luck!
Your main health concern with pugs is breathing problems. Due to their almost non-existent nasal cavity. Other than that, health problems are the same as other dogs might face. Pugs are wonderful dogs. But again, due to their nasal cavity, they should not be left outside on hot or cold days. Also after running around too much they have difficulty breathing.
